I have been a resident of Union County all my life. Actually, I grew up just 4 miles from where I now call home. This has been a sleepy little community until the past two to three years. With Columbus bursting at the seams it can only go out - pushing the town of Dublin out to Marysville.
My husband, Terry, works at Honda of America. He's been very lucky to be an associate there for over 24 years.
My daughter, Jackie and Doug live in Marysville with their three children; Cody (a 15.5 year old just itching to drive), Cory, a 6th grader (glued to the computer), and Mary (a redhead old beyond her years) is in the third grade.
My son, Mike (his name is Michael, but, of course, he hates it) graduated from Marion Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As most of you know, Mike's now my partner at Coldwell Banker King Thompson. His past experience in the dealing with vendors with quality issues has given him a great people philosophy.
My husband and son run a Spitzer Super Comp dragster at the midwest drag racing tracks so that keeps them out in the shop until late every evening. So if you see a car hauler traveling through the midwestern states with the Coldwell Banker logo and my name under it just honk your horn - I'll wave back!!
As you can see, my family is busy with work, school or hobbies which leaves me time to do what I've always wanted to do - help people find their perfect home. I started in this business in 1997, worked for a while and then went back into the private sector until Mike got out of high school. I find myself back in the real estate business with a slightly different philosophy than other agents around - I don't like carrying a lot of listings. I know - call me crazy - but why does having so many listings make you a better real estate agent? IT DOESN'T!!!! These agents with a ton of listings can't service you well! They flit from one appointment to another forgetting to call you with feedback, forgetting to answer that question you asked three days ago, forgetting that this is a scary process and you need someone who is concerned enough about you to slow down and HELP YOU GET THROUGH THIS.
There - I've said my piece and I feel better. So think about that the next time you need to talk to a real estate agent northwest of Columbus, OH. Give me a call on my cell phone 937/645-7691 - I'll take the time you need to get the job done!!!
